Standing seam metal
Clip-fastened panels, engineered for wind uplift and clean snow shed at the eaves.
The homeowners wanted to move off asphalt after two hail cycles in five years. Standing seam gave them a modern profile, better wind ratings, and a paint warranty rated for high-UV Front Range sun.
We stripped two layers of shingles, replaced soft decking at the south eave, and installed high-temp underlayment compatible with metal temperatures. Panels were run continuously from eave to ridge with clip spacing per the manufacturer’s wind chart for this exposure.
Technical priorities
- Clip spacing and seam type matched to engineered wind zone
- Snow guard layout above driveway and front entry (engineered spacing)
- Penetrations flashed with rubber boots + custom metal saddles
- Thermal movement accommodated at ridge without buckling
Installation sequence
- Strip & inspect: Two-layer tear-off; replace damaged OSB; ice & water at eaves.
- Underlayment: High-temp peel-and-stick in valleys and at all curbs.
- Panels: Field-formed lengths; hemmed eaves; clip-fastened only — no exposed screws in the field.
- Trim & guards: Ridge cap, hip caps, color-matched drip edge, snow retention.

Metal roof feedback
Clients notice trim quality, clip spacing discipline, and whether the crew explains snow guard logic before drilling.
“Lines are laser straight. Neighbors already asked who did the work.”
“They showed us the wind chart for clip spacing — nobody else did.”
“Snow stops look intentional, not random. Front walk stayed clear last winter.”
