New roof system

Integrated install with the framing crew: deck, insulation, underlayment, and finished shingles.

This custom residence combined a steep main roof with a lower garage wing and a covered patio tie-in. The general contractor needed a dry shell before window delivery, so we prioritized temporary weather protection at shear-wall panels and returned for final shingle install after rough mechanical penetrations were stubbed.

We worked from the architect’s wind zone notes and the truss engineer’s nailing schedule — adding clip-style hurricane ties where the plans called for them before felt went down.

Coordination points

  • Dry-in inspection before siding and stone veneer
  • Solar conduit sleeves — flashed after module rails ship later
  • Fire sprinkler inspector walk on sheathing day
  • Final grade / gutter downspout locations from landscape plan

Build phases

  1. Sheathing QC: H-clips, panel gaps, and nail pattern sign-off.
  2. Dry-in: Synthetic + ice & water at all code zones.
  3. Shingles + vent: Field, hips, ridge vent with NFA calc on file.
  4. Punch: Builder + homeowner; warranty docs + touch-up paint.
